¹⁵ whose paths are crooked,^(A)
and whose ways are devious.^(B)
16 It will rescue you from a forbidden woman,^(C)
from a stranger^[a] with her flattering talk,^(D)
17 who abandons the companion of her youth^(E)
and forgets the covenant of her God;
